Please bare in mind that double coated and short haired breeds may still moult after their appointment-this is unavoidable and a characteristic of the coat, especially in summer months. Deshedding is essential for removing any dead undercoat and trapped hair that leaves regulating body temperature increasingly difficult for a double coated dog as the air flow cannot get to the base of the coat and the skin which could contribute to overheating.
